This heavenly medal features Our Lady of the Holy Scapular. In 1251, the Virgin Mary appeared to St. Simon Stock, Superior of the Carmelites, and told him: "Whosoever dies clothed in this (Scapular) shall not suffer eternal fire."
On the back of the medal is a picture of the Sacred Heart, which is normally required if a medal is to be considered a Scapular medal (see photo of back below).
